Who we are
DP Innovations is a low-voltage and network infrastructure contractor based in Springfield, Missouri. We design, install, and certify the physical infrastructure that everything else in your building depends on — the copper, the fiber, the racks, the servers, the switch gear, the Wi-Fi, the displays, the doors, and the cameras.
Most of our work comes from general contractors, facility managers, and IT directors around Springfield and the surrounding counties. A good share of it comes from people who hired the cheapest bid once and are not doing that again.
Networking is not an afterthought here
This is the part that separates us from most cabling outfits. Our team is educated and experienced in networking, not just terminations. That means we can sit in the design meeting, size the switch gear and the PoE budget, rack and stand up your servers, configure VLANs and uplinks, and hand you a network that works — instead of a clean cable plant and a pile of boxes for someone else to sort out.
Practically, it saves you a vendor. When the cabling contractor and the network installer are the same people, nobody gets to point at the other one when a link does not come up, and there is no second mobilization to finish the job.
What makes a job "done right"
There is no mystery to it. It is the same handful of things, every time:
- Pathways planned before the pull. Conduit, J-hooks, and tray sized for what goes in later, not just what goes in today.
- Terminations done to standard. Correct pair twist maintained, bend radius respected, jackets stripped only as far as they need to be.
- Every drop labeled. On both ends, matching the drawing, in a scheme that still makes sense in five years.
- Every run certified. Not "it lights up" — a real certification report from a tester, saved and handed to you.
- Closets left clean. Dressed and managed cable, adequate slack, and nothing you have to fight through next time.
- Gear racked and configured. Switches up, servers mounted and powered, ports labeled and documented.
How we work with contractors
We are used to coordinating around other trades and to schedules that move. Give us the drawings and the rough-in window and we will hit it. If the ceiling grid slips a week, we will re-sequence rather than pull crews off the job.
Service area, and travel
Our home territory is Springfield and Southwest Missouri, including Strafford, Nixa, Ozark, Republic, Willard, Rogersville, Bolivar, Branson, and Joplin.
We also travel. Multi-site rollouts, remote facilities, and rack, server, and switch projects outside the region are all work we take on regularly — if you have a location we should be looking at, ask. Distance is a scheduling question, not a disqualifier.
