DP Innovations ("we," "us," "our") provides structured cabling, network infrastructure, audio visual, CCTV, and access control services in Springfield and Southwest Missouri. This policy explains what we collect through dpinno.com, dpcctv.com, and thedpinnovation.com why we collect it, and what we do with it.
What this policy covers
This policy covers information collected through this website and the ordinary business communications that follow from it — quote requests, emails, and phone calls.
It does not cover data inside systems we install for clients. If we install cameras, access control, or network equipment for you, the recordings, logs, and credentials those systems generate belong to you. See Client systems below.
Information we collect
Information you give us. When you submit the quote form, email us, or call, we collect what you choose to provide — typically your name, company, email address, phone number, site address, and a description of the work you need. If we visit your site or quote a project, we also keep the notes, measurements, drawings, and photographs produced during that process.
Information collected automatically. Our web host records standard server log data when a page is requested: IP address, browser type and version, the page requested, referring page, and a timestamp. This is used for security and troubleshooting, not to build a profile of you.
What we do not collect. We do not process payments through this website, so we never receive card numbers here. We do not ask for Social Security numbers, government ID numbers, or account credentials through this site, and you should never send them to us by email.
Cookies and analytics
This site uses only the cookies required for it to function. We do not run advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
Most browsers let you refuse or delete cookies in their settings. Blocking them will not prevent you from using this site.
How we use your information
We use what you give us to:
- respond to quote requests and answer questions
- schedule and perform site walkthroughs
- prepare estimates, proposals, drawings, and change orders
- perform the work, order materials, and coordinate with other trades
- provide warranty service and ongoing support
- send invoices and follow up on payment
- keep records required for warranty, licensing, insurance, and tax purposes
- improve this website and keep it secure
We do not sell your information, and we do not rent or trade contact lists.
When we share information
We share information only where it is necessary to do the work or where the law requires it:
- Service providers who operate on our behalf — web hosting, email, and accounting software — and only to the extent they need it to provide that service.
- Manufacturers and distributors, when a warranty registration or a return requires the installation address or serial numbers.
- General contractors, architects, and other trades on your project, where coordination requires it.
- Legal and safety — when we are required by law, subpoena, or court order, or where disclosure is necessary to protect someone's safety or our legal rights.
- A successor, if the business is sold or merged, in which case this policy continues to apply to the transferred information.
Client systems and recorded data
This is worth stating plainly because of the work we do.
When we design, install, or service a camera system, access control system, network, or server, any footage, access logs, credentials, and configuration those systems hold are your data, not ours. We do not monitor client camera systems, and we do not retain copies of recorded footage.
To do the work we may need temporary credentials or remote access. We use them only for the agreed task, and you can revoke them at any time. If you have a support agreement with us, we keep the configuration records and documentation needed to support your system — network diagrams, port maps, device inventories, and as-built drawings.
Where we hold credentials for you, we store them in an access-controlled password manager and share them only with the technicians assigned to your account.
How long we keep information
- Quote requests that do not become projects: kept while we follow up, then discarded during routine cleanup.
- Project records (proposals, drawings, test results, as-builts, invoices): kept for the life of the warranty and as long as our accounting, tax, and insurance obligations require.
- Support-agreement documentation: kept for the term of the agreement and a reasonable period afterwards.
- Server logs: kept short-term by our host for security and diagnostics.
How we protect information
We limit access to client information to the people who need it, use access-controlled storage for credentials and documentation, and keep our own systems patched. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security — but if we become aware of a breach affecting your information, we will notify you as required by law.
Your choices
You can ask us to:
- tell you what information we hold about you
- correct anything inaccurate
- delete information we are not required to keep for legal, tax, warranty, or contractual reasons
- stop sending you marketing messages
